Product Description

Ideboquinone has antioxidant and free radical scavenging activities, and can also be used as an electronic carrier in mitochondrial respiratory chain to enhance aerobic respiration.

Product Function

1. Excellent free radical remover
Idiboquinone has strong free scavenging ability in several common antioxidants. At the same concentration, idebenquinone has the same ability to scavenge DPPH and AAPH as water-soluble vitamin E. Its ability to scavenge ABTS free radicals, tyrosine free radicals and peroxynitrite anions is 50% of water-soluble vitamin E. Idiboquinone, ascorbic acid and vitamin E can effectively eliminate free radicals at low concentrations (10nmol/L). Coenzyme Q10 and kinetin need 100 nmol/L and 1000 nmol/L concentration respectively to show the ability of scavenging free radicals.

2. Inhibit lipid peroxidation
Compared with ascorbic acid (>20mol/L), a-tocopherol (100rtmol/L) and glutathione (50tzmol/L), low concentration of idebenone (10Fmol/L) showed stronger antioxidant effect and could effectively inhibit the formation of lipid peroxide.

3. Inhibit inflammation and repair cutin
Caspase (Caspase) family is an attempt of inflammation and plays a very important role in mediating apoptosis, of which Caspase-3 is one of the most important. In the experiment, Caspase-3 was activated by 0.5 t, mol/L diethyl maleate and 0.1 F mol/L, respectively, to reflect the degree of apoptosis. Studies have shown that 0.5~mol/L idebenquinone can significantly reduce the degree of cell apoptosis induced by diethyl maleate, thereby inhibiting the occurrence of inflammation and improving the ability of tissue repair.

4. Prevention and treatment of DNA damage
The study showed that UVB irradiation was sufficient, the photoproduct production in keratinocytes without any antioxidant was 53%, the photoproduct production in keratinocytes with idebenquinone was 23%, and the photoinhibition rate was 43%, while the photoproduct inhibition rates of vitamin C, kinetin, coenzyme Q10 and alpha lipoic acid were 36%, 36%, 4% and 0%, respectively. Idiboquinone significantly reduced the damage of UVB to DNA.

5. Restrain light damage
The study found that when UVB was used to irradiate the skin with antioxidants, the number of sunburn cells smeared with 0.5 idebenone was 38% less than that of the blank, while vitamin E, kinetin, coenzyme Q10 and α- Lipoic acid decreased by 30%, 20%, 10%, 9% and 0% respectively. It can be seen that idebenone has the most significant effect on inhibiting light damage.

6. Inhibiting melanin production
The inhibitory effect of idebenone on melanin was positively correlated with its dosage. The effect of high concentration of idebenone is similar to that of hydroquinone; After a certain amount of dilution, the inhibitory effect of hydroquinone on melanin disappeared, while the low concentration of idebenone still showed inhibitory effect.
